The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.

As a Project Engineer and member of the NGI Weapon System Integration team, you will perform tasks related to the new integration the NGI All-Up-Round (AUR)

into GMD.

In this role, you will:

  • Interface with the customer define and execute

process for inputting, tracking, and closure of

external action items / customer requests

  • Track the team's weekly priorities and make

sure the team is progressing to burn them down

  • Support Integration Lead and the team to work

stretch assignments as necessary

  • Coordinate with Cost Account Manager and

Planning to track weekly IMS burndown for the

team, to ensure team is working to the baseline

  • Define, coordinate, and execute the process for

ensuring all information received and provided

to/from the government is readily available for

program use

  • Support proposal efforts for the Element Level

Engineering through Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and cost assessments

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating across functional and programmatic boundaries
  • Experience working with a variety engineering disciplines
  • Proven ability to track project milestones, coordinate technical teams, and support project plans (scope, schedule, budget).
  • Familiarity with scheduling and collaboration software like Microsoft Project and Open Plan
  • The eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills:

  • Proposal Experience
  • Development of Key Performance Indicators, metric management, data dashboards using Tableau or similar
  • Experience with working with an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and creating/executing IMS tasks.
  • Familiarity with all phases of the development life cycle for missile and/or launch vehicle programs and supporting production of missile, launch vehicle, spacecraft, or aircraft hardware
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external customers and executive leadership
  • Basic understanding of systems thinking techniques
  • Program/Project Management experience with the ability to articulate sophisticated technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, leadership, and customers
  • Experience in Cost Account Management (CAM)
  • Active or Current Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
