Job Title Project Engineer IICompensation $100/hr (1099 rate)Location Spring, TX 77389Schedule 5/2Target Start Date ASAPScope / OverviewThe Project Engineer II supports capital project execution by coordinating engineering, construction, and project management activities to ensure projects are completed within budget, schedule, and technical requirements. This role provides engineering and project coordination support, assists with contractor management, supports project stage-gate deliverables, and serves as an interface between project teams and contractors. The position works under immediate supervision and serves as a backup to the Project Manager as required.Main FunctionsPerform engineering design evaluations and project support activities within budget and schedule constraints.Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.Review production, maintenance, and malfunction reports to identify and address issues.Provide technical support throughout the engineering and project execution process.Support Project Manager responsibilities as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluations, and contractor selection.Support identification and sourcing of long-lead equipment.Coordinate development of EMCAPS (ExxonMobil Capital Project Management System) Gate 3 deliverables.Coordinate development of Functional Interaction Plans.Coordinate project issue resolution processes.Coordinate change requests and endorse change authorizations.Ensure assigned work scope is completed in alignment with project objectives.Verify design and construction activities comply with project specifications and standards.Serve as the interface between the Project Team and contractors.Ensure smooth transitions between project phases and stage gates.Support and lead Project Management Team (PMT) application of project management systems.Required QualificationsBS degree in an Engineering discipline.Experience in engineering, construction, project management, and project controls assignments.Multi-discipline project experience.Broad knowledge of engineering design standards, specifications, and work processes.Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational, planning, coordination, and interface management skills.Ability to manage changing priorities, tight deadlines, and heavy workloads.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Screening CriteriaRequiredBS Engineering degree (gating requirement).Project engineering experience supporting capital projects.Experience coordinating contractors, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.Knowledge of project stage-gate processes and project controls.Strong communication and coordination skills.PreferredExxonMobil project experience.EMCAPS experience.FEED and contractor management experience.Capital project execution experience.Multi-discipline engineering background#J-18808-Ljbffr
