The Project Engineer will lead and mentor a small team of engineers and CAD designers supporting General/Physical Layout and Protection & Control packages for substation design projects. This role will serve as the sealing engineer for most team-produced work, manage project design and customer relationships, and support business development with select clients.
Responsibilities:
Mentor, schedule, supervise, and train junior engineers, designers, and CAD operators.
Perform and review engineering calculations, project designs, specifications, and bid documents.
Direct and review complex substation drawing sets and ensure design quality.
Provide technical expertise in substation physical layout, protection and control, relay settings, field support, commissioning, and relay testing.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Must have hands-on experience of substation engineering.
Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Proficiency in substation engineering, including physical layout design, protection and control design, relay settings/programming, field support, substation commissioning, and relay testing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
