Position Summary:
This is a Facilities and Utilities-focused Electrical Engineering role requiring a combination of electrical system design, engineering analysis, field support, troubleshooting, and project execution within a large-scale industrial site environment. The role supports utility infrastructure, electrical distribution systems, operational reliability, and facility improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Electrical Engineering & Design
· Perform detailed electrical design for small to mid-scale projects.
· Complete load calculations, short circuit calculations, coordination studies, and voltage drop calculations.
· Prepare drawing mark-ups and equipment specifications.
· Ensure compliance with company standards, industrial standards, applicable codes, and construction practices.
· Review electrical power, security, fire alarm, instrumentation, and control system drawings.
· Review designs for large projects to ensure system compatibility, constructability, and conformance to requirements.
· Review and approve electrical drawing changes.
Facilities & Utilities Engineering:
· Provide subject matter expertise on utility bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
· Support utility infrastructure and facility electrical systems.
· Identify and scope energy conservation opportunities and projects.
· Provide technical support to maintenance teams on electrical operational issues.
· Troubleshoot power quality issues and support resolution efforts.
Field Engineering & Troubleshooting:
· Perform field inspections and provide implementation support for:
o Electrical systems
o Security systems
o Fire alarm systems
o Data/Telecom systems
o Instrumentation and Controls installations
· Support construction, installation, and implementation activities.
· Apply a root-cause troubleshooting approach to electrical system issues and failures.
Project Engineering & Lifecycle Support:
· Manage electrical and selected non-electrical projects.
· Support projects through initiation, design, construction, commissioning, and validation activities.
· Coordinate project engineering activities and implementation efforts.
Compliance & Change Control:
· Support SHE permit application activities with technical expertise.
· Review and approve change records affecting validated electrical systems.
· Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and site requirements.
Required Qualifications”
Education:
· Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Experience
· Minimum 4 years of relevant Electrical Engineering experience.

Work Environment
