Description

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support multiple commercial construction projects across Vermont and surrounding markets. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional to gain broad project exposure while working directly with experienced project leaders.

Description

  • Support the Project Management team on multiple active construction projects simultaneously.
  • Assist with project coordination, documentation, scheduling, communication, and administrative project functions.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and field teams to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Participate in various phases of project delivery, gaining exposure to both office and field operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project progress and resolve issues proactively.
  • Contribute to projects across a variety of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, food & beverage, and other market segments.
  • Travel periodically to project sites located primarily throughout Vermont, with additional projects in Eastern New York and along the New Hampshire border.
  • Report directly to the Project Management team and work within a highly collaborative environment.

Location: South Burlington, VT

Work Environment: Primarily office-based with regular field exposure; no remote option available.

  • Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 base salary

Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 0-4 years of construction industry experience.
  • Ability to commute to South Burlington, Vermont.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to learn and grow within a construction project management career path.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across several active projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • Prior exposure to commercial construction projects.
  • Internship, co-op, or project coordination experience within construction environments.
