Project Engineer - Liquids Manufacturing (CIP, Homogenizers, High Shear Mixers)
JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking a Project Engineer to support an ongoing liquids manufacturing project. The role is focused on hands-on work with large-scale liquid processing equipment, analyzing that equipment to improve efficiency and yield and reduce downtime, and leading new technology implementations and equipment installations.
This role requires direct hands-on experience with the equipment listed below. General project management experience without liquids process equipment exposure will not be a fit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze liquids manufacturing equipment to improve efficiency and yield and reduce downtime in support of business objectives
- Lead new technology implementations and equipment installations, working closely with vendors
- Lead cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Provide clear updates on status, actions, costs and timelines
- Support product launches and new equipment installations by ensuring system readiness
- Advise on equipment capabilities and requirements
- Provide technical mentoring to engineering staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering
- Hands-on experience with liquids manufacturing equipment: storage tanks, homogenizers, wet mills, high shear mixers, dissolution systems
- Direct experience with CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems
- Experience with purified water systems
- Experience leading equipment installations and new technology implementation
- Experience working with equipment vendors and contractors
- cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing background
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
