OverviewWilliam Charles Construction, a MasTec Company is in search for a Roadway Project Engineer for project work in New Albany, IN.The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager and Estimator with the day to day administrative functions associated with Project Management and Estimating to ensure that each estimate is prepared accurately and each project is completed on time and within the estimated budget.ResponsibilitiesAttend the project turnover meeting (estimating to operations)Assist in generating/maintaining project schedules, both cash flow and work loadAttend job meetingsAssist in setting up/managing submittals, purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor agreementsEnsure the work, including the work of the subcontractors, is being done in compliance with OSHA standards and company policiesEnforce the company safety programEnsure all work is completed according to specifications for the projectAssist in completing all project plans.Assist in maintaining all project related reportsAssist in preparing project closing documentsReview construction documents and complete take offs and assist in obtaining pricing for materials and subcontractors, including DBE subcontractorsAssist in preparing CPM schedules using estimated productionsAttend pre-bid meetingsMake pre-bid site investigationsAssist in preparing QA/QC plansMaintain and submit QA/QC records in accordance with the QA/QC plansQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
