Our client, a leader in the energy and power generation industry, is seeking a Project Engineer Manager to join their team. As a Project Engineer Manager, you will be an integral part of the Gas Power Americas team supporting complex engineering projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Project Engineer Manager

Location: Schenectady, NY (On-site)

Pay Range: $60.00/hr. - $63.80/hr.

What's the Job?

  • Lead the engineering execution of Balance of Plant (BOP) scope projects from contract signing through completion.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional engineering teams to identify and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance and interface with proposal management, sourcing, vendors, and customers to ensure project success.
  • Review customer specifications, communicate project requirements, and evaluate the impact of scope changes on schedule and budget.
  • Ensure quality procedures are enforced and continuously improved to meet project and organizational standards.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 6 years of industry experience with increasing responsibilities in engineering or project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, with familiarity in power plant components preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients.
  • Ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and technical scope within a fast-paced environment.
