Project Engineer - NM

Key Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager through all phases of construction projects, from startup through closeout. Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, permits, contracts, and project records. Coordinate and track RFIs, submittals, material procurement, and vendor/subcontractor compliance requirements. Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, change orders, invoice review, and subcontract administration. Support project scheduling, milestone tracking, and procurement efforts to help maintain project timelines. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential schedule, cost, or coordination issues. Assist with quality control, safety documentation, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in commercial construction. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, procurement processes, and change management. Experience with project budgeting, cost tracking, and subcontract administration. Proficiency in ACC, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other construction management software.
