About UsWe construct, renovate, and install nearly every electrical system component related to data center construction, facilities maintenance, electrical systems upgrades, and virtually anything else required to keep facilities running on the cutting edge of efficiency and technology.Job SummaryMorley Moss is actively looking for a Project Engineer to assist on projects in Dallas, TX.The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the project team with coordinating information related to scheduling, execution, and billing of projects, helping with project organization, budgeting, and implementation, and supporting the Project Manager in resolving field problems as they arise.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Manager in driving the overall flow of projects effectively from inception to completionReview contract and bid documents from estimatingReview and understand scope for project turnoverAttend project walk‑throughsCollaborate with project foreman regarding project safety, toolbox talks, and weekly walk‑throughAssist with project document control, including but not limited to insurance, bonding, permits, submittals, RFIs, change orders, correspondenceEnsure documents are saved in the project's control softwareVerify correct drawings are distributed to the fieldIntegrate project completion/delivery dates and sub requirements into overall project and manpower schedule as directed by the Project ManagerTrack deliveries of major equipment and subs, indicate shipping requirements, anticipate delivery dates, and request proper delivery noticeFacilitate material takeoffs by trade foremanSupport accounting department with monthly billings and collectionsFollow up on outstanding balancesGather information for changes in work and turn over to estimating for pricingEnsure no work starts prior to approval or notice to proceedAssist field personnel in project closeoutObtain as‑builts from fieldEscalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Project Manager with recommendation for resolutionComply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programsPerform additional assignments as requiredQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or GEDAt least 2 years field experience working for an electrical contractorPreferred:Bachelor's degree with an electrical engineering or construction management focus from an accredited college or universityFamiliarity with AutoCAD, and other technical or construction programsFamiliarity with project management/document control softwareMust:Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and ExcelDemonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism, and commitment to company valuesBe self‑motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environmentMaintain high quality standards and attention to detailHave excellent communication and collaboration skills to build positive relationships with customers, employees, management, government agencies, and suppliersREQUIRED ATTRIBUTESThe requirements listed below are representative of characteristics and demonstrated capabilities sought to perform this job successfully.Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.Must effectively handle stressful situations.Must be detail‑oriented and demonstrate ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects.Must demonstrate ability to analyze and solve problems.Must exhibit willingness to learn and improve.Must have a positive attitude, be a self‑starter and motivator.Must demonstrate commitment to EMCOR values.LANGUAGE SKILLSMust have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
