    Description

    Position SummaryThe Project Engineer will deliver fully compliant manufacturing packages for 'New Unit' and 'Retrofit' projects across the Power Generation, Oil & Gas and Marine markets served by the Company.The Engineer will gain experience by working with a broad range of customers including major OEM's while working with a Senior Engineer.Main DutiesWork to produce zero safety issues within the workplace and our productsEnsure first class customer service experience with timely & accurate technical supportEnsure consistency between Technical Proposal and contract specificationsMaintain project schedules to deliver assigned projects on time and within budgetManage sub-contract (external) design teams to deliver design packages on time and within budgetCreate designs compliant to customer specifications and applicable regulatory codes and standardsProvide fully engineered manufacturing packages for successful fabrication of our products including specification & creation of datasheets for purchased componentsCreate 'Long Lead' and 'Final' Bill of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systemPerform internal and external design status review for each technical area of assigned responsibilityCommercially aware and quick to identify & support scope change opportunities to the Project ManagerSpecify and support drawing and design activities including review / verificationTechnical interface, liaising with Design Engineers, Drawing Office, QA, Suppliers & CustomersMake best use of pre-engineered components and contribute to standardization initiativesCreate Installation Operation & Maintenance manuals (IOM's)Prompt Resolution of Technical/concession requests with consideration to schedule and cost impact.Key AccountabilitiesZero safety issuesZero defectsOn Time Delivery (OTD) >90%Fabrication Documentation PackageCustomer Documentation PackageMeet Budget hours +/- 15%Additional ResponsibilitiesUS Export Control LeadQualificationsEngineering degreeMechanical Engineering - PreferredReview 3D models and 2D drawings to ensure successful defect free design for manufacture - cost reduction, access for welds, access for painting, drain systems, clash detection etc.Awareness of international engineering standards, regulations and export control requirementsSoftware: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, CAD experience, ERP experienceFull driving licenseAbility to travel in and outside the USA, up to 15%Key CompetenciesTeamwork: Work towards a common goalResponsibility: Capable of independent action & judgementDecision Making: Make accurate decisions within a short timescaleCommunication: Effective at all levels across business, customers and suppliersLearning: Effectively work with Senior Engineers to gain knowledge of the product and decision makingTrustworthy & Ethical: Honest & open with sound moral judgementResults Oriented: Strong drive to deliver with budget and scheduleProblem Solving: Calm analytical approach to providing a good solutionOrganizational Skills: Prioritize efficiently to meet commitmentsDetail Orientation: Produce accurate defect free informationResponsiveness: Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing requirementsPay, Benefits, Work ScheduleParker offers competitive benefit programs, including:Comprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, voluntary optional life, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium cost.401(k) Plan with company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of payCompany provided defined-contribution retirement plan with annual contribution equal to 3% of payCareer development and tuition reimbursementAdditional benefits including paid parental leave, short and long-term disability programs, adoption assistance, Care.com membership and financial planning assistance are provided at no cost to you.Supplemental benefit programs including identity protection, legal protection, and pet wellness are available at competitive rates.Paid Time Off and 13 Company-Paid Holidays.Equal Employment OpportunityParker is an Equal Opportunity and affirmative Action Employer.
