Stantec is seeking a mid-level Project Engineer, Roadway to join our Mid-Atlantic team. This position is advertised for the Charleston, WV or Bridgeport, WV offices. Our company is interested in attracting strong candidates to continue our successful delivery of services for clients.Your Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and analyze engineering designs and specifications to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.Collaborate with project teams and communicate technical concepts effectively to achieve client expectations and project goals.Assist in planning, implementing, and completing projects, ensuring effective application of scope requirements, management of time, quality reviews, and effective communications with team members.Capabilities and CredentialsProficient use of MicroStation V8i, Open RoadsAbility to use or familiarity with AutoCad is a plusProficient use of Microsoft Office SuiteExperience and knowledge of AASHTO and WVDOH and/or VDOT design directives and specificationsExperience and knowledge of WVDOH and/or VDOT roadway and right of way deliverablesEducation and ExperienceBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related degreeMinimum of four (4) years of transportation design experienceWest Virginia Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration or ability to obtain P.E. within 1 year requiredTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
