Job Overview DPR Construction is seeking a project engineer with 2+ years of commercial construction experience. The role will focus on projects in healthcare, higher education, advanced technology, life sciences and commercial sectors.Responsibilities Participate in and apply DPR's Environmental Health and Safety Plan, performing weekly safety audits.Understand and enforce contracts among DPR, subcontractors, and owners.Assist the superintendent and project manager in implementing DPR policies and executing the project.Organize duties of other engineers, the field office coordinator, project accountant, and other assigned staff, providing direction, prioritization, and performance feedback.Participate in trainings and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.Organize and electronically archive project files for easy access by the project team.Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules; work with the superintendent to reduce schedule constraints.Maintain and implement document control entities such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as‑builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties.Identify, assemble, negotiate, and distribute change orders to owners and subcontractors.Prepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for owner/architect/contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings.Participate in project cost control: maintain internal records and work with subcontractors to ensure changes are paid.Prepare owner billing by assembling DPR costs, reviewing subcontractor invoices, and organizing documents per the owner's requirements.Monitor testing and inspection records, safety inspection and accident logs, and building permit inspection sign‑offs.Qualifications Flexible, detail‑oriented team player who can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Organized work approach with the ability to adapt and adjust to support project current needs.Detailed knowledge of assigned project scopes with a 100% hands‑on approach.Proactive problem‑solving skills during design and construction phases.Goal‑oriented approach to coordinate and resolve project issues within the team, including designers, engineers, and owners.Excellent listening and strong communication skills.Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.Effective participation in a team environment.Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC, Prolog or similar), scheduling software (Primavera or similar), and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar).Minimum 2 years of experience as a project engineer, preferably in DPR's core markets.Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field.Strong work ethic, a “can‑do” attitude and a passion for construction.Salary & Benefits This position is salaried with an anticipated starting pay range of $85,000.00 – $100,000.00.DPR offers a variety of medical, dental, vision, and wellness benefits to keep employees healthy.EEO Statement DPR is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
