Senior Project Engineer DPR Construction is seeking a senior project engineer with a minimum of 3‑5 years of commercial construction experience. The role focuses on projects in the advanced technology, commercial, healthcare, higher education, and life sciences markets.Responsibilities Apply DPR's environmental health and safety plan, conduct weekly safety audits, and promote injury‑free environments.Mentor, develop, and train project team members; manage other project engineer team members.Understand and enforce contracts between DPR, subcontractors, and owners; assist superintendent and project manager with policy implementation and execution.Organize duties of field staff; provide direction, prioritization, and performance feedback.Participate in trainings and company meetings.Maintain and archive project files electronically.Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules; collaborate with the superintendent on schedule adjustments.Manage document control: daily reports, procurement logs, submittals, as‑builts, testing/inspection logs, RFIs, change orders.Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all stakeholders.Identify, assemble, negotiate, and distribute change orders to owners and subcontractors.Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action items for owner/architect/contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings.Participate in project cost control; maintain internal records and collaborate with subcontractors on payment of changes.Prepare owner billing by assembling DPR costs and reviewing subcontractor invoices per owner requirements.Qualifications Organized work approach with adaptability to project needs.Detailed knowledge of project scopes with a 100% hands‑on approach.Proactive in seeking and resolving construction problems during design and construction.Goal‑oriented approach to coordinate and resolve project issues within the team.Excellent listening, communication skills, and ability to resolve complex issues.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC, Prolog, etc.), scheduling software (Primavera, etc.), and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).3–5+ years of experience as a project engineer, preferably in DPR's core markets.Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.Strong work ethic, “can‑do” attitude, and passion for construction.Benefits Position is salaried.EEO Statement DPR is an equal‑opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
