Description

A well-respected contractor specializing in the construction of industrial and civil construction projects, is looking to add a Project Engineer or APM to their growing team. They are dedicated to the professional development of their team, and committed to delivering quality projects, on time, safely, and under budget to their clients.  They are seeking this position immediately.

This role of a Project Engineer/APM is to support the project management team. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and have 2+ years of experience working on civil and/or industrial construction projects.. This role involves coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil and/or industrial projects.
  • Ensure projects compliance with company standards, specifications, and regulations.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to plans and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, documentation, and necessary approvals.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges promptly.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between all project participants.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preference)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy civil or industrial construction
  • Proven experience working on large scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
