Standard Job Description

The 1LMX Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to help lead the Product Compliance team. This role must work across Lockheed Martin Business Areas (BAs) to understand business, regulatory and contract requirements and most effectively deliver products and services in compliance with the customer. The successful candidate will collaborate with a scrum team to align and harmonize common requirements and processes across BAs, help generate functional specifications, and collaborate with IT developers to support the development, testing, and deployment of 1LMX capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver with 5+ years of project engineering experience in aerospace or a similarly regulated industry. They possess a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and have a proven track record of guiding cross‑functional teams through complex compliance challenges. Strong communication skills enable them to translate technical requirements into clear functional specifications and to foster collaboration between engineering, business, and IT stakeholders. Experience with Agile/Scrum practices, requirements‑management tools, and software development lifecycle processes is essential. The candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, and is committed to delivering high‑quality, compliant solutions on schedule.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline
• Significant experience with Lockheed Martin operations and related environment, safety and health (ESH), dangerous goods transportation, and product compliance processes and risks
• Experience leading or working with multifunctional teams
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
• Ability to travel approximately 25% to support 1LMX development, testing, and go live initiatives
• US citizenship is required

Desired Skills

• Experience with functional specification development
• Knowledge and experience with Lockheed Martin's ERP systems
• Knowledge and experience with SAP's Product Compliance module
• Basic understanding of regulatory and Lockheed Martin-specific business processes related to chemical and material restrictions including the Product Chemical Composition Module (PCCM), and dangerous goods transportation and management
• Experience with developing, testing, and deploying new software tools into production
• Experience with agile development methodologies and IT project management

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $131100.00 - $243500.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $118000.00 - $219100.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $104900.00 - $194700.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.

• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $94400.00 - $175200.00

• Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.
