THE POSITION:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Project Engineer to support the successful execution of electrical construction projects. This position bridges the gap between the Project Management and Field Operations teams, ensuring information flows accurately and efficiently from design through completion. The Project Engineer is responsible for maintaining project documentation, coordinating RFIs and submittals, tracking BIM implementation, and supporting daily site operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and collaborative, with a strong understanding of electrical construction processes and an eagerness to grow into greater project leadership responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Project Managers and Superintendents in executing projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Maintain organized records and reporting, including RFI logs, submittals, panel schedules, inspection documents, and commissioning reports.
Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, identify issues, and communicate next steps to project leadership.
Collaborate closely with foremen, field staff, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination and issue resolution.
Track and coordinate BIM implementation, verifying accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Support change management by maintaining accurate documentation of design revisions and field adjustments.
Assist in developing and updating project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and manpower plans.
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to monitor submittal progress and material delivery schedules.
Participate in project meetings, prepare status updates, and distribute progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to company quality control standards, documentation protocols, and safety policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of experience in electrical construction, engineering, or related project coordination role.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Familiarity with electrical systems, construction drawings, and project documentation processes.
Proficiency in project management and construction tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, BIM software, and Microsoft Office Suite).
Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Passion for learning, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced construction environment.
Pay Range: $55,000 - $95,000 per year
