Our clients primarily include Federal, State, and Local Governments, Airports, and consulting firms.EDGE is experienced and talented enough to win complex and challenging projects that impact the communities in which we live while being small enough to provide growth opportunities, mentorship, and an authentic culture.Job DescriptionEDGE Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer interested in public transportation, drainage, aviation, and flood control analysis & design. Applicant should have a strong track record of working on design projects for public sector clients. Job responsibilities will include:Performing hydrologic and hydraulic (H&E) modeling in HEC-RAS and HEC-HMSPerform closed-conduit hydraulic modeling in StormCAD, ORD-DU, Civil-Storm, XPSWMM, PCSWMM and/or InfoWorks ICMDesign stormwater facilities including detention ponds, water quality treatment, and erosion control measuresPreparing reports, construction cost estimates and specifications in accordance with local, state and federal code requirementsClearly and consistently communicate and coordinate with the project team, project managers, and clients.Oversee and train junior staff including reviewing work, answering questions, and providing technical guidance.Work independently in addition to planning, organizing, and assisting a small teamDepending on experience level and desire, the applicant may serve as an Assistant Project Manager, managing tasks, budgets, staff, and client coordination.Full-time - Monday to Friday; Hybrid 2 days from home, 3 days officeRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringPE License (Texas) or able to obtain in TexasMinimum 4-years of experience, primarily focused on H&E and drainage designExperience with Microsoft Office SuitePreferredExperience in Microstation or ORDExperience with ESRI ArcMap or other GIS applicationsExperience with HEC-RAS or HEC-HMSExperience with Infoworks ICM, XP-SWMM, EPA SWMM, KYPipe and other hydraulic modelsExperience preparing drainage reports and PS&E deliverables in compliance with state and local agency standardsBENEFITSEDGE offers a competitive salary, a broad benefits package, and a flexible work week.
