Project Engineer – Potomac Interceptor Program
Location
- DC Water Clean Rivers Facility (CMF Building), Blue Plains
- Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week in the office
Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience supporting municipal sewer, wastewater, underground utility, or rehabilitation projects
Licensure
- Maryland or Virginia PE preferred
- Ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months if not currently licensed
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in delivering large sewer rehabilitation projects.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Coordinate design development and permitting activities.
- Review contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and construction documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and construction meetings.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and action items.
- Provide construction engineering support during project execution.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and DC Water stakeholders.
Availability
- Immediate or within 1–3 months
Compensation
- Up to $77/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
