Project Engineering Manager – Availability TeamThis role supports sustainment business for the F‑35 Program within the Line of Business Project Engineering Availability team.What You Will Be DoingAs the Project Engineering Manager – Availability Team you will lead a high‑performing team that drives fleet availability, depot stand‑ups, and RMIP/EIB efforts while partnering across functions and program stakeholders.Managing team resources within allocated budgets to ensure support for all projects in a dynamic environment.Identifying and addressing issues, risks, and opportunities that impact fleet availability.Interacting with senior leadership in E&T, program management, sustainment, and key stakeholders.Developing and maintaining a Vemo staffing plan that supports evaluation of future staffing needs.Performing personnel management tasks including staffing, training, assigning work, and conducting performance reviews.Who You AreYou are a collaborative, metrics‑driven leader with a proven track record of guiding engineering teams to deliver cost‑effective, schedule‑responsive solutions. You hold U.S. citizenship, possess an active Secret clearance, and thrive in complex, multi‑disciplinary environments.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM related Discipline.Minimum of 10 years of experience in an Engineering environment.Project Management experience.Experience working across multiple disciplines, departments, or teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Chief Engineering, Program Management).Secret or higher security clearance.Desired SkillsF‑35 Development, Customer Solutions, Sustainment, or Production experience.Experience leading and/or mentoring early/mid‑career staff.EVMS and/or CAM Experience.Ability to multi‑task in a dynamic environment.Familiar with sustainment of military platforms; F‑35 experience a plus.Team leadership experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent presentation skills.Security Clearance StatementThis position requires a government security clearance and is limited to U.S. citizens.BenefitsThe position offers flexible scheduling options to support work‑life balance.Equal Opportunity EmploymentLockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
