System One is seeking a Project Environmental Manager for a contract opportunity in Semora, NC.
Responsibilities
- Ensure environmental compliance for the construction of a high-profile EPC project, guiding strategic direction and execution of environmental practices.
- Lead and mentor site environmental professionals while collaborating with site management, clients, regulatory entities, and stakeholders to integrate environmental compliance into all construction phases.
- Manage risk, develop execution plans, and delegate tasks for the site environmental team according to project requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of environmental plans, permit applications, reports, and client documents.
- Conduct site environmental inspections and ensure documentation aligns with project and regulatory standards.
- Interpret complex environmental permits and regulations applicable to the project.
- Monitor performance and enforcement of environmental controls and collaborate with operations to maintain compliance and best practices.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years managing environmental compliance in the construction industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance processes impacting construction activities.
- Proven experience managing environmental projects, leading teams, and working with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing and presenting technical reports and regulatory documents.
