Project Estimator

Nidy Sports Construction is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our growing sports construction company. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sitework and heavy civil estimating who thrives in a fast-paced environment managing a high volume of smaller projects.

Key Responsibilities

\n

• \n
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for sports construction and site development projects.
• \n
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• \n
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for earthwork, grading, drainage, utilities, paving, concrete, fencing, athletic surfacing, and related sitework.
• \n
• Utilize HeavyBid software for estimating and bid management.
• \n
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• \n
• Coordinate with sales professionals, project managers, and operations teams during estimating and project turnover.
• \n
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously in a high-volume environment.
• \n
• Analyze labor, equipment, and production costs for self-performed scopes of work.
• \n
• Assist with budgeting, value engineering, and project planning efforts.

Required Qualifications

\n

• \n
• 3+ years of estimating experience in sitework, heavy civil, sports construction, or related construction fields
• \n
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid software
• \n
• Experience working for a sitework or heavy civil contractor
• \n
• Strong understanding of self-performed construction operations
• \n
• Ability to manage a large volume of bids and smaller scope projects simultaneously
• \n
• Knowledge of grading, utilities, drainage, paving, and concrete construction methods
• \n
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• \n
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• \n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

• \n
• Experience estimating athletic field construction projects
• \n
• Familiarity with performing own quantity takeoffs.
• \n
• Understanding of municipal and commercial bid processes
• \n
• Field experience in construction operations
• \n

Applicants must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening and undergo a pre-employment background check. This is a year-round position. Rate of pay is commensurate on experience.
