Project Estimator

Alonso’s Construction is hiring a Commercial Construction Estimator.

\n

We are a commercial drywall and metal framing subcontractor with 17 years of experience serving projects throughout Colorado. Our scopes also include ACT/acoustical ceilings, insulation, demolition, exterior sheathing, and shaft wall systems.

\n

We are looking for an experienced estimator who can work independently, manage multiple bids, and produce accurate, detailed estimates from start to finish.

\n

Responsibilities include:

\n

• \n
• Reviewing commercial plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents
• \n
• Completing accurate labor and material takeoffs
• \n
• Preparing and submitting competitive bids
• \n
• Estimating drywall, metal framing, ACT ceilings, insulation, demolition, exterior sheathing, and shaft wall systems
• \n
• Requesting and reviewing supplier pricing
• \n
• Preparing RFIs and reviewing project clarifications
• \n
• Reviewing revised drawings and identifying changes
• \n
• Updating takeoffs and pricing when plans change
• \n
• Preparing change order pricing
• \n
• Communicating with general contractors, suppliers, project managers, and project teams
• \n
• Following up on submitted bids
• \n
• Attending occasional job walks and pre-bid meetings
• \n

Qualifications:

\n

• \n
• Previous commercial construction estimating experience required
• \n
• Strong experience with drywall and metal framing estimating preferred
• \n
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural plans
• \n
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• \n
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• \n
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• \n
• Experience with BuildingConnected, Procore, and Autodesk preferred
• \n
• Must be comfortable stepping into the role and estimating projects with minimal supervision
• \n

• Occasional travel throughout Colorado, including Denver, Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, and surrounding areas

• Pay based on experience
• \n
