Job Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewPeople Source OKC is hiring an experienced Project Estimator for a commercial concrete company in Oklahoma City. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in the concrete construction industry who understands the estimating and bidding process and is comfortable reviewing plans, project specifications, and job requirements.The ideal candidate understands commercial construction projects from the estimating side and can accurately review plans, prepare job submittals, determine project needs, and help ensure projects are properly estimated before work begins.Job Responsibilities

• Review and interpret commercial concrete construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare accurate project estimates based on labor, materials, equipment, and project requirements
• Perform quantity takeoffs and determine concrete and material needs
• Review project scope and identify requirements before preparing bids
• Assist with preparing and submitting bids for commercial concrete projects
• Prepare and manage job submittals and related project documentation
• Review specifications, addendums, and other bid documents
• Communicate with contractors, vendors, project managers, and internal teams regarding project requirements
• Request and review pricing for materials and subcontracted work as needed
• Maintain accurate estimating and project documentation
• Track bid information, deadlines, and project requirements
• Assist with transitioning awarded projects from estimating into project management and field operations
• Maintain an understanding of project schedules, costs, and overall job expectations

Requirements

• Previous estimating experience in the concrete construction field required
• Strong understanding of commercial concrete projects and construction processes
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and construction specifications
• Experience completing construction takeoffs and preparing estimates
• Understanding of job submittals, bids, and project documentation
• Ability to understand project scope, labor, materials, and job requirements
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates, projects, and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
