Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Estimator role based in Saddle Brook, NJ, with a focus on kitchen cabinetry projects. The Project Estimator will review plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for framed cabinetry. Daily responsibilities include analyzing project requirements, preparing bids and proposals, updating budgets, and tracking cost changes throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves coordinating with sales, design, and production teams to clarify scope, pricing, and timelines, as well as communicating with clients and contractors to address questions and revisions. The Project Estimator will also maintain estimating tools and databases, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support project planning and scheduling.

Position Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and accurate estimates for commercial and multi-unit cabinetry projects
• \n
• Review architectural plans, project specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and pricing requirements
• \n
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and related project components
• \n
• Coordinate with internal departments including sales, design, engineering, and operations throughout the estimating process
• \n
• Assist in the review and coordination of shop drawings as needed
• \n
• Identify scope gaps, pricing risks, and value engineering opportunities
• \n
• Maintain clear and organized records of bids, proposals, pricing worksheets, and estimate backup
• \n
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create, manage, and analyze estimate worksheets, bid comparisons, and pricing models

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, cabinetry, and estimating
• \n
• Experience with commercial and multi-unit residential projects
• \n
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• \n
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
• \n
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• \n
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
