Job Summary

Prepares general and or discipline estimates for capital cost and/or service estimates for various industrial waste services such as: in-plant labor services, WM core services, third party services, specialized equipment, and customer sustainability programs. Develops basic conceptual estimates. Takes a role in estimate reviews and presentations. Provides and supports data and cost analysis. Uses, and assists in development and maintenance of estimating databases. Oversee and review work completed by associate Estimators. Executes simultaneous tasks within broadly defined parameters.

Travel will be up to 25%.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend Prebid meetings and occasional site walks
  • Reviews design scope criteria and develops quantities for undefined scope assumptions in coordination with Operations and client requirements
  • Drafts estimate plans for projects (inclusive of estimate budget) through evaluation of scope, contract, desired estimate type quality and time resources available
  • Performs tasks (takeoffs vendor/pricing searches) assigned by Managers
  • Assists in capital cost estimates
  • Conducts services cost estimates
  • Creates cost models for fee calculations
  • Prepares estimate basis and assumption documentation
  • Assists with analysis on functional input to staffing plan. Assists in estimate basis and assumption
  • Assists in integration of commercial terms and conditions into estimates in conjunction with Business Development and Legal
  • Prepares cost studies, trend estimates, and life cycle cost estimates in specialized areas or in specialized discipline area under supervision of Business Development and Operations staff
  • Prepares basic software generated estimates for completion and technical accuracy ensuing quality and integrity

Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s Degree (accredited) in Engineering, Construction Management or related studies, or in lieu of a degree,
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • 4 years years of relevant work experience. and
  • Three (3) years of estimating experience or industrial waste services experience (in addition to education requirement).

Must live and work in the US

B. Other Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge of regulatory and environment regulations and policies.
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Estimating Software, P6, MS Project, Material Take Off Software
  • General computer acumen and ability to learn to utilize other job-related technical software
  • Familiarity with statistical methods
  • Research skills
  • Familiarity with industrial waste and related services

Pay: The salary range across the U.S. for this position is $84,745 - $114,655. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
