Compensation: $175,000 - $210,000 (DOE) + Performance Bonuses

Take the helm of high-profile infrastructure projects that define the NYC landscape. As Project Executive, you will provide strategic oversight for a portfolio of heavy civil projects (Utilities, Sewer, Stormwater, and Watermain), ensuring they are delivered with financial precision and operational excellence. You are the bridge between field execution and corporate strategy, holding ultimate accountability for project margins, agency relationships, and team development.
Financial Stewardship: Own the gross margin performance (Budget vs. Actual). You will oversee forecasts, EAC reliability, cash flow, and major buyouts to ensure maximum profitability.
Agency & Stakeholder Mastery: Act as the executive point of contact for major NYC agencies (NYCDDC, NYSDOT, NYCDOT). You will lead partnering efforts and resolve high-level disputes to protect both the firm's interests and its reputation.
Risk & Claims Management: Enforce disciplined change management and proactive risk identification. You will lead the strategy on contractual notices and insurance/legal matters to minimize exposure.
Elite Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a bench of Project Managers and Engineers. You are responsible for succession planning, performance coaching, and maintaining a culture of accountability.
Safety & Quality Advocacy: Serve as the visible face of our safety culture, ensuring all projects meet TRIR/DART targets and exceed regulatory compliance standards.
A Heavy Civil Authority: You have spent at least 15 years in the trenches of heavy civil contracting, with a specific focus on the unique challenges of New York City agency work.
A High-Stakes Leader: You have successfully led at least one project with a value exceeding $75M, managing the complex logistics and financial reporting that comes with a build of that scale.
A Strategic Negotiator: You understand the nuances of NYC contracts and claims, knowing exactly when to push and when to partner to keep a project moving.
Experience: 15+ years of progressive heavy civil experience. Must have proven experience navigating NYC agencies (NYCDDC, NYSDOT, or NYCDOT).
Project Track Record: Proven leadership on at least one project valued at $75M+.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of utilities, sewer, and watermain work. Proficiency in construction management software and advanced financial acumen.
Certifications: OSHA 30 required; must possess a valid driver’s license.
