This is an opportunity for a seasoned Senior Project Manager or Project Executive to lead multiple large-scale renovations projects while overseeing Project Managers and serving as the primary client-facing construction leader. Description
The Project Executive will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership and oversight for multiple Project Managers and active construction projects simultaneously.
- Driving project execution from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, housing authorities, and property management groups.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with field personnel, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
- Mentoring, developing, and supporting project teams to maximize performance and project success.
- Managing large change orders, project risks, and complex operational challenges.
- Traveling throughout the Mid-Atlantic region as required to support projects and client relationships.
- Operating independently while collaborating closely with executive leadership.
- Supporting strategic growth initiatives and helping attract top construction talent through industry relationships.
- Playing a key role in expanding the organization's footprint within the DC market and surrounding regions.
Profile
A successful Project Executive should have:
- 10+ years of construction management experience
- Proven success delivering multifamily renovation, rehabilitation, repositioning, or occupied renovation projects.
- Affordable housing or low-income housing experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to lead multiple projects, project teams, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong client-facing presence with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience managing tenant-occupied environments and navigating sensitive project conditions.
- Track record of stable career progression and strong tenure with previous employers.
- Experience with projects ranging from approximately $10M to $20M+ in value preferred.
- Knowledge of construction operations across the Mid-Atlantic region is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
