Project Executive | Richmond Operations Leader

Join a well-established construction contractor as the senior leader of its Richmond operations, overseeing project delivery, team leadership, client relationships, and office performance. Description

The Project Executive will be responsible for:

• Providing overall leadership and operational oversight for the Richmond office.
• Managing project teams including Project Managers, Coordinators, Superintendents, and field personnel.
• Driving profitability, revenue growth, and strategic market expansion within the region.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Overseeing project execution to ensure delivery of work that meets safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Collaborating directly with executive leadership and report to the senior management team.
• Supporting business development initiatives and helping expand market share, particularly within the data center sector.
• Recruiting, mentoring, and developing high-performing team members as the office continues to grow.
• Monitoring office performance metrics, backlog, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Establishing the Richmond operation as a self-sustaining, scalable business unit.

Profile

A successful Project Executive should have:

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, Operations Manager, or similar construction leadership role.
• Strong background managing commercial construction projects and teams.
• Experience overseeing project financials, forecasting, budgets, and profit-and-loss performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and scale construction teams.
• Successful track record developing client relationships and generating repeat business.
• Experience working with negotiated projects and relationship-based delivery models preferred.
• Data center, mission critical, or large commercial project experience is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to help grow a regional business operation.
• Construction Management degree or relevant industry experience preferred, but not required.
