Project Geoscientist Salt Lake City, Utah $75,000 - $90,000

We are seeking a Project Geoscientist to support and advance mineral exploration projects across the US Southwest. This role contributes to projects across multiple stages of the exploration lifecycle through fieldwork, data analysis, reporting, and technical support, working closely with project teams, field operations, contractors, and HSE teams.

This position is suited for a geoscientist who enjoys hands-on field exposure while developing strong project, analytical, and reporting skills within a collaborative exploration environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Support exploration projects across multiple stages of the project lifecycle through field programs, data collection, and technical activities. Conduct geological logging, sampling, and data capture to support project advancement. Apply geoscientific techniques and tools to assist with project prioritization and progression. Provide technical support to defined components of project work under the guidance of senior geoscientists. Undertake reporting on project activities, progress, issues, and outcomes, and maintain geological databases. Support QA/QC processes for geological data and samples. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and field operations to meet technical and schedule milestones. Adhere to and support company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards during all field and project activities. Provide first-line guidance to less experienced staff on logistical and technical tasks as required.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline. 4+ years of experience in mineral exploration or project-based geoscience roles. Competence in applying geoscientific techniques and technologies in exploration settings. Ability to support small projects or defined elements of larger projects. Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills. Familiarity with geological software and data management tools. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.
