Project Lead 3

Location: 701  W  51st  Street,  Austin,  TX  78751
Duration: 2 months with possible extension
Work Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days remote and 2 days onsite
Onsite Days: Wednesdays and Fridays

We are seeking an experienced Project Lead 3 to support a technical project manager on a data engineering project tied to an AI adoption program. This role will help manage cross-functional coordination, track deliverables, support platform and data engineering initiatives, and ensure alignment between business, engineering, and AI stakeholders.

This position requires strong experience leading technical projects in data, analytics, cloud, healthcare, and enterprise environments. PMP certification is required and must be clearly listed on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.

What You’ ll Do

• Support planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, and project implementation
• Track deliverables, milestones, timelines, risks, issues, and project status
• Coordinate with data engineers, developers, analysts, business teams, vendors, and AI stakeholders
• Support platform, data engineering, cloud, analytics, and AI adoption initiatives
• Assist with project scope, objectives, success metrics, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, charters, schedules, status reports, and lessons learned
• Translate complex technical concepts for business and executive audiences
• Support project monitoring, status reporting, and implementation of moderate to complex business solutions

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading technical projects or programs in data, analytics, and cloud environments
• 10+ years of experience leading data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives
• 10+ years of experience managing business intelligence, big data, and analytics projects
• 10+ years of experience supporting healthcare data initiatives
• Working knowledge of healthcare data standards such as FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 preferred
• Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies
• Strong communication skills with business, technical, and executive audiences
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex timelines
• Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial status reporting
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools
• Strong documentation, organization, and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, data systems, or enterprise applications
• PMP certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in healthcare or other regulated environments
• Familiarity with compliance, security, and data governance concepts
• PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certification preferred
• Healthcare industry experience
• Understanding of IT processes, SDLC, architecture, information management, and enterprise technologies
• Strong consulting and facilitation skills
• Customer-focused communication style
• 3+ years of experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives
• TOGAF, Cloud Solution Architecture, Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications preferred
