Represents the Company on external committees with other utilities, agencies, municipalities, manufactures, and customers.
What You'll Do
Project Leader will report directly to Distribution Improvements (DI) Senior Design Manager and support all three DI design groups.
Support design functions for all groups within Distribution Improvements Design, including Cable Replacement, System Improvements, and Customer Improvements.
Support DI Design and Analysts to development improved estimating processes.
Check jobs for design standards, drafting standards, CUEs and develop training needs based on the repetitiveness of inconsistencies and errors.
Coordinate with other DI Project Leaders to ensure consistency of designs standards and address common design issues.
Provide coverage for meetings with municipalities and customers when primary PL's are not available.
Meet with stakeholders to determine best practices to get jobs passed through permitting at a more efficient pace.
Develop training material and facilitate training for onboarding new employees as well as train existing staff.
Participate in the CAD governance committee.
Lead CAD efforts for municipal work, including taking customer files and referencing them into the company survey basefiles.
Coordinate with the conpany survey to verify submittals and requests are complete and accurate so projects can proceed in the most efficient manner.
Attend pre-cons and coordinate with Construction Consultants to ensure accuracy and constructability of designs.
Act as a single point of contact for DI Design to ensure external design details are kept up to date.
Summary
Interfaces with customers, engineers, outside agencies, supervisors, and managers concerning electric distribution and transmission services available from the Company. Evaluates, analyzes, and implements productivity tools, including hardware, software, and training. Develops and provides technical instruction and production support to improve automation efforts and performance. Reviews designs for completeness, accuracy, and quality. Prepares cost estimates and performs project management functions on complex projects. Assists in system development/enhancements.
