Role Overview:

As a Project Management Assistant at Precon Marine, you will be responsible for supporting project managers in overseeing various marine construction projects. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our construction, engineering, and operations teams to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget. Working on-site in Chesapeake, Virginia, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality maritime solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist project managers with the planning and execution of marine construction projects. • Coordinate project schedules and track progress against established timelines. • Manage project documentation and reporting to ensure compliance with company standards. • Prepares weekly bid calendar and ensures timely completion of estimates. • Oversees the creation of job folders and verifies that the project documentation is being stored correctly. • Obtains pricing for materials and sources appropriate DBE and SWAM suppliers when possible. • Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc. • Assists with buyout of project materials and verifies quantities delivered and installed. • Contribute to regular project meetings and assist in problem-solving initiatives.

• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Understanding of marine construction practices or willingness to learn.

Bonus If You:

• Have a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. • Hold a certification in project management (e.g., PMP or similar). • Have experience working in the maritime industry.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday.

This position is on-site only, located in Chesapeake, Virginia.
