As a Project Management Coordinator, you will play a vital role in advancing strategic initiatives that directly impact research outcomes and patient care across our enterprise. you will support critical process improvements by maintaining project documentation, coordinating cross-functional meetings, tracking action items across departments, and serving as a central communication hub for project stakeholders. You'll prepare agendas and presentation materials, take detailed meeting minutes, update project schedules in tracking systems, flag potential delays, and ensure seamless follow-through on deliverables. Candidates should possess an Associate's degree or equivalent experience. We also welcome applicants with research-related coursework or certifications (such as Clinical Research Coordinator or research administration fundamentals) and those with process improvement training (including Lean, Six Sigma, Smartsheet PM certification, or quality improvement methodologies).
Location: This is a primarily remote position scheduled Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Occasional on-site travel to Banner Alzheimer's Institute (901 E Willetta St., Phoenix, AZ 85006), Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (2946 E. Banner Gateway Dr., Gilbert, AZ 85234), or Banner Sun Health Research Institute (10515 W Santa Fe Dr., Sun City, AZ 85351) will be required for meetings and special training events.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting work group as they manage project scope, quality, schedule and budget for individual projects. Consistently uses standard tools and methodology.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Supports the project initiation process including drafting documentation and identifying equipment requirements.
2. Helps draft planning documents, enters project schedule, updates project web site.
3. Assists in project meeting preparation and execution. Drafts agendas, minutes, and presentation materials. Facilitates sub-team meetings.
4. Supports the communication plans by creating communication materials; updating documentation and web sites.
5. Provides support for the management and control of projects. Drafts change requests, follows-up on open issues/risks and tracks individual task status.
6. Helps complete the project closure tasks including lessons learned documentation; issues transition; and project document management.
7. Maintains various project databases including, but not limited to, equipment, issues, schedules and requests.
8. Maintains standard project management tool documentation.
9. This position is responsible for supporting projects across multiple departments system-wide and requires interaction at all levels of staff and management. Requires work in context of multiple commitments, priorities and conflicts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess associate’s degree level of knowledge in related field or equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience.
Requires communication, and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate, and interact across facilities and at various levels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
