The main purpose of Script Governance is to guarantee that ""Intent = Execution"" (I=E). This means confirming that a script's code perfectly delivers exactly what the business requested without any critical coding errors.
Your job will be to coordinate with different business teams to ensure that both our existing internal scripts and the legacy scripts inherited from our recent Client (Client) acquisition which are managed together as our ""backbook"" are properly inventoried, risk-assessed, and fully validated to meet our compliance standard. Within our PMO framework, you will also own and drive the communications workstream to ensure data packs, script obligations, and progress updates are clearly delivered to intent owners, developers, and senior executives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Driving the ""Intent = Execution"" (I=E) Framework
Drive Timeline-Based Execution: Work closely with Script Intent Owners and Script Developers to help them complete script identification, risk assessment, and uplift in strict alignment with already defined project timelines.
Support Governance Activities: Partner directly with business teams to clear blockers and ensure they complete all script governance, validation, and tracking tasks on schedule.
Coordinate Evaluation Progress: Maintain an organized pipeline of new scripts (""frontbook"") and existing legacy scripts (""backbook"") to guarantee timeline milestones are met for all in-scope scripts.
Connect Teams with Resources: Act as the primary point of contact for team members with questions about tracking schedules, connecting them with the right training, guidelines, or help channels to keep them on schedule.
2. Managing the Backbook & Client (Client) Milestones
Drive Inventory & Risk Assessments (Deadline: June 30, 2027): Coordinate with Business Entities (BEs) to ensure all legacy Client scripts are completely inventoried and risk-assessed, or officially retired if they are no longer being used.
Finalize Remediation Plans (Deadline: June 30, 2027): Hold teams accountable to finalizing their step-by-step remediation plans and addendums on schedule.
Ensure High-Risk Script Uplift (Deadline: Dec 31, 2027): Monitor and push progress toward the final deadline, ensuring that every in-scope, high-risk script across the backbook is fully updated and proven to match the I=E standard.
3. Workstream Communications & Leadership Reporting
Manage Core Workstream Communications: Own and execute the communications plan to notify Intent Owners and Script Developers as new quarterly data packs are released, clearly outlining their required actions and delivery timelines.
Drive Accountability: Keep developers and intent owners execution-focused through clear, targeted communications that highlight upcoming milestones and outstanding deliverables.
Provide Executive Updates: Create and present clear, data-backed progress reports, performance metrics, and risk assessments to senior leadership and project teams as required.
Flag Risks Early: Proactively speak up and alert leadership if a team is running late, if there are blockers, or if we are at risk of missing a compliance deadline.
Keep Tracking Records Accurate: Work alongside our data analysts to make sure our tracking workbooks are accurate and fix any mistakes found in the records.
Qualifications & Experience
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a project manager handling IT, data, or audit/compliance projects.
Accountability Driver: A proven track record of holding teams accountable to their delivery timelines, even if they do not report to you directly.
Structured Communications Experience: Proven experience designing and managing structured communication rollouts across diverse audiences, explaining technical details simply to various functions.
Clear Executive Presentation: The ability to take detailed technical or testing processes and explain the status, risks, and slippages simply to senior executives.
Everyday Tools: Comfortable running meetings on Zoom and organizing data using Google Workspace, specifically Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides.
Preferred Qualifications
PMO & Certifications: Deep familiarity with PMO frameworks, principles, and structured delivery tracking; PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
Technical Background: Prior hands-on experience or a strong foundational background working as an IT Professional, Data Analyst, Software Developer, or Auditor.
Regulated Industries: Experience working in a banking or financial environment where you had to navigate strict legal, risk, or audit rules.
