Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a Project Manager-2 for our client in Albany, NY, 12203. This is a temporary contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!

Position Title: Project Manager-2
Location: Albany, NY, 12203
Duration: 1 year with option to extend.
Where the Work will be performed: Remote, however the resource will be required to travel to various utility scale renewable project locations throughout New York State .
Location of the Resource:
Remote - preference to be located in the Western and or Central NY region.
Is travel required for this position: 50% to 75%


Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead monitoring and reporting of construction progress, attend multi-agency meetings and analyze submitted reports.
  • Organize and lead site visits in the field for assigned projects.
  • Lead the proactive identification, and reporting on project and schedule risk along with mitigation activities as needed.
  • Perform contract compliance monitoring and maintain tracking tools, escalating issues as needed.
  • Maintain construction reports and documentation on SharePoint.
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings.
  • Develop appropriate project metrics and tracking mechanisms.
  • Generate charts, tables and tools as necessary to quickly convey project status to executives.
  • Serve of the primary point of contact with a select group of developers and stakeholders on behalf of the program and certain assigned projects.
  • Assist with program event planning and development of materials for the media by cross-collaborating.
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to the key outcomes of the Large Scale Renewables team.


To be considered for this position, you should have:

Required Skills
  • Experience with construction management and monitoring.
  • Experience with schedule creation, forecasting and analysis including time and resources.
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management.
  • Contract interpretation and analysis of compliance.
  • Familiar with construction contracts and subcontracts.
  • Knowledge of Article VIII and SEQR permitting processes.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Tier 1 Program's Standard Form Agreement.
  • Ability to create schedules with dependencies and predecessors, and perform analysis on schedule shift. Demonstrated experience developing KPIs for construction projects, monitoring and reporting on risk and proposing mitigation. Ability to develop schedule forecasts.
  • Familiarity with NYS Article VIII Environmental Management and Construction Plan processes, and ability to navigate Department of Public Service's Document and Matter Management System.

Education, Certifications, Degree requirements
  • Certified PMP, preferred
  • B.S + 10 years of construction experience, or MS + 3-7 years of construction experience, mandatory.
  • OSHA 10-Hour construction safety training- minimum level, mandatory.
  • Desired: OSHA 30 construction training.

  • 7 10 years.

  • Carried out development of several projects through competitive solicitation phase that may or may not result from own initiative.
