Acquisitions Management, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Multitasking, Project Tracking, Project/Program Management, Technical Leadership
Project Manager (Acquisition & Infrastructure Focus)
Location: REMOTE / MUST be in EST time zone
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
- Must possess strong project management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with diverse personalities, balancing competing priorities, and influencing stakeholders in a professional and productive manner.
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment and make objective, well-informed decisions without allowing emotions or personal biases to influence outcomes.
- This role is primarily a Project Manager role, with approximately 70% focused on project management responsibilities and 30% requiring technical knowledge. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in project management and enough technical expertise to effectively manage initiatives and keep projects moving forward.
- While experience with AI, security, and governance is important, the expectation is not for the individual to be a technical expert. Rather, they should possess sufficient knowledge to understand the subject matter, facilitate discussions, remove roadblocks, and drive projects to successful completion. Most of the work will be centered around infrastructure-related initiatives, so prior experience managing infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- The candidate must be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and have a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong soft skills are equally as important as technical and project management experience. This person will need to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization...from end users and technical teams to senior stakeholders and executives.
- The ideal personality is someone who knows how to strike the right balance: confident and assertive enough to drive initiatives forward, yet thoughtful enough to know when to step back and adapt their approach. They should be able to influence others, manage competing priorities, and push for results without creating unnecessary friction. Someone who is overly aggressive or overly passive may not be the right fit for this environment.
- Because many of the key stakeholders and team members are located on the East Coast, the client strongly prefers a candidate who is based in or can work within the Eastern Time Zone (EST).
- Lastly, it is important to note that this is a Project Manager role, not a Program Manager role. The focus will be on managing and executing individual projects rather than overseeing a portfolio of programs.
