Duration: 12 Months The ideal candidate is a Senior Project Manager with experience leading complex projects, strong Agile Project Management skills, and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, sorting, filtering, and data analysis. Must have proven expertise in managing project schedules, budgets, risks, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, along with the ability to interpret complex Excel documents and apply critical thinking to support project decisions. Experience with electric utilities, T&D contractors, or engineering firms is preferred.
Job Summary- This position is typically retained to manage multiple Green I or Green II projects per the Project Management Centre of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
Responsibilities:- Ideal candidate has Agile PM experience in the utility industry
- Utility experience to include power specifically (distribution, transmission, etc.)
Desired Qualifications- Masters’ business (MBA), project management, or equivalent. Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMP or CAPM Certification; CMII/Construction Certifications; Professional Engineer License.
- Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls. Experience in utility industry. Knowledge in construction management.
- The Project Manager II may have relationships with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership (i.e. individual contributors up to executive management)
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel experience
- Ability to create pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Basic Excel skill sets of sorting, organizing, etc.
- Critical thinking to be able to interpret complex Excel documents
Experience:- 5-9 years of project management experience.
- Graduation from a four-year college or university. Proficient in project management principles.
