Summary:
A growing architectural and woodworking company located in Hollywood, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to produce designs for multiple customers throughout the country. Projects include luxury residential (20% of business), religious temples, and primarily commercial hospitality (restaurants, hotels, etc). Project scope per year for each PM is currently $3mil - $7mil which can be as little as 1 project/yr (larger project) or a few small projects. A project as large as $15mil is rare but possible to be seen.
Responsibilities:
- After conducting research on the following, ensure proper creation of work orders, labor and inventory budgets, schedule to meet project deadline
- Assist Purchasing & Engineering in RFQs, negotiations, and requisitioning
- Create contracts and negotiate revisions with subcontractors and suppliers
- Be the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, installers, design professionals
- Identify insurance, permit, license and tax requirements; coordinate these with Accounting & Contracts teams
- Facilitate & execute the design, fabrication, and shipment of mockups/samples
- Create weekly reports to investigate/resolve variances, issues, risk areas. Present these in the in-office weekly meetings
- Analyze building codes & other technical documents to determine their effect on the designs
- Develop, mentor, and train employees
Requirements
*Experience as a Project Manager with experience working for woodworking companies (with an annual scope preferably between $3mil - $15mil)
* Technologically-literate (not proficient)
