Build a Career Managing Complex Environmental Abatement Projects

Winter Environmental is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Asbestos, Lead, Mold & Interior Demolition to manage environmental abatement and selective interior demolition projects throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.

This is an opportunity for an experienced project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading technically challenging projects from award through closeout. We're looking for professionals who understand hazardous material abatement, interior demolition, client management, project execution, budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership.

Our Project Managers work closely with clients, consultants, industrial hygienists, subcontractors, field supervision, and company leadership to safely deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.

Travel is required. Company-paid travel expenses and per diem are provided when applicable.

What You'll Do

  • Manage asbestos abatement, lead abatement, mold remediation, and selective interior demolition projects from contract award through final completion.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, work plans, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate project teams including superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and industrial hygienists.
  • Manage project costs, forecasting, change orders, and contract administration.
  • Review drawings, specifications, asbestos surveys, lead inspections, mold assessments, and project documents.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project schedules, productivity, quality, and financial performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, and project partners.
  • Support project startup, field operations, and project closeout.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with OSHA, EPA, state regulations, and project specifications.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of project management experience in asbestos abatement, lead abatement, mold remediation, demolition, environmental contracting, or related industries.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, contract administration, and change order management.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project teams.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, AHERA, and applicable state regulations.
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, asbestos surveys, and contract documents.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Current Asbestos Supervisor certification.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER.
  • Lead Supervisor or EPA RRP Certification.
  • Experience managing industrial, healthcare, higher education, government, or manufacturing projects.
