The Project Manager Assistant - Electrical is responsible for overall support and accountability of the daily operations for the AFCEC Fuels Program.  Work with the Federal Program Manager-Fuels and Project Managers to ensure technical performance, cost and schedule requirements are always adhered to.  Manage internal and external clients from RFQ through closeout as well as invoice/billing cycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain proactive working relationships with team members, subcontractors, vendors, management, and other departments.
  • Work with detailed workflows and resourcing plans, meet deadlines, resolve conflicts, and manage progress with confidence.
  • Work with the Project Manager to review potential project obstacles, risks, and constraints and effectively plan around them.
  • Help develop meeting agendas and checklists for weekly project calls and Three Phase QC meetings.
  • Work with field staff to ensure all projects sites are properly set up and team has all needed equipment.
  • Attended site visits as needed and prepare trip report.  Develop Rough Draft SOW from trip report notes.
  • Support Project Manager in preparing RFP proposal documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum (5) years working on DoD Fuels Facilities construction and/repair projects.
  • Minimum (2) years preparing SOW’s, preparing estimates and attending site visits for DOD fuels projects with government agencies
  • Minimum (4) years working experience with DoD fuels electrical systems and components.
  • Possess and maintain current Journeymen Electrical certification

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Projects Scheduling Software-Preferred.
  • Experience working with DelTek and CostPoint Preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of government submittal submission, review and approval process.
  • Knowledge of Scully Grounding System.
