Nautilus Construction is a design-build firm serving Southern Maine for over 20 years. We specialize in custom coastal homes, additions, and remodels--blending Maine craftsmanship with modern transparency through Co-Construct.

We are looking for a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to join our in-person team in Kennebunk, Maine. This role requires regular on-site presence and collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members. Whether you're an experienced PM ready to lead or an Assistant PM ready to grow, we have an opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

• Manage or support residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion
• Coordinate scheduling, weekly look-aheads, and project milestones
• Lead or participate in meetings with Lead Carpenters and project teams
• Prepare and manage change orders, budgets, and project documentation
• Coordinate materials, selections, vendors, subcontractors, architects, and consultants
• Monitor costs, approve expenditures, and identify opportunities for savings
• Maintain quality control, safety standards, and accurate project records
• Communicate project updates with clients and senior management
• Maintain documentation in Co-Construct (or similar project management software)

What You Bring

Assistant Project Managers

• 1-3 years of residential construction experience (co-op/internships count)
• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred
• Basic understanding of construction processes and materials
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a desire to grow into a Project Manager role

Experienced Project Managers

• 5+ years of residential construction project management experience
• Design-build experience preferred
• Experience managing projects ranging from $500K-$2M+
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and building codes
• Experience with project management software (Co-Construct a plus)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred
• PMP certification preferred
