About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of transportation industry experience, preferably in Georgia   
  • Ability to adapt and gain additional experience as required for specific assignments   
  • Strong knowledge of standard office practices and procedures   
  • Proficiency with office equipment such as personal computers, calculators, and copiers   
  • Skillful in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with the ability to learn client-specific systems   
  • Excellent attention to detail   
  • Strong organizational and time management skills   
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships   
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without immediate or constant supervision

About the Role

As a Project Manager Assistant, you will:

  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for client transportation projects including roadway design, traffic signals, transportation planning, and environmental work
  • Manage preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications for major and minor projects by consultants or clients
  • Oversee preparation and review of preliminary and final plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates, recommending additions, deletions, and substitutions when necessary
  • Participate in contract bidding and administration when needed
  • Supervise and guide design projects through client processes, coordinating with city, state, and county officials as well as outside agencies
  • Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal firm staff
  • Communicate and interact with project teams, client representatives, review agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Address complex issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitable materials, and difficult coordination by involving subject matter experts and client management
  • Meet program and client goals and reporting metrics for projects
  • Attend training as needed to stay current on client and firm requirements
