IDR is seeking a Project Manager to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Austin, TX. This role is vital in managing data engineering projects involving AI adoption, supporting platform and data initiatives while aligning business, engineering, and AI stakeholders. The company specializes in data solutions within a highly regulated industry, emphasizing collaboration and technical excellence.
Position Overview for the Project Manager:
- Responsible for the planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project planning, project monitoring, and project status reporting of moderate to complex business solutions.
- Supports a Technical Project Manager in data engineering and AI adoption projects.
- Manages cross-functional teams and vendors, tracking deliverables and ensuring project alignment across stakeholders.
- Supports platform development, data pipelines, and cloud platform initiatives.
- Ensures project milestones, objectives, and success metrics are achieved on time and within scope.
Requirements for the Project Manager:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading technical projects or programs in data, analytics, and cloud environments.
- Proven ability to manage data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives from planning through delivery.
- Strong experience supporting healthcare data initiatives; familiarity with standards such as FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 is a plus.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies to support project planning, estimation, and issue resolution.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
