Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing order fulfillment from sale through final delivery. This role ensures alignment between Sales, Engineering, Production, and customers while managing scope, schedule, cost, and execution to deliver projects accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from order entry through completion, ensuring scope, cost, and schedule alignment
Review new projects to identify and resolve estimating, timeline, or scope discrepancies
Validate technical requirements against quotes, drawings, and customer specifications
Coordinate with engineering to resolve technical and design-related questions
Purchase materials and components based on General Arrangement drawings
Manage project-related inventory and indirect purchasing activities
Review Bills of Materials for accuracy and production readiness
Maintain project records across required systems and platforms
Coordinate with production teams to ensure schedule adherence and issue resolution
Perform month-end invoicing and general ledger reconciliation activities
Provide backup support for payroll approvals
Support ISO 9001 compliance documentation and audit readiness
Participate in safety programs and ensure adherence to safe work practices
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
5+ years of experience in manufacturing project management, purchasing, or related role
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts), Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Willingness to travel for customer, vendor, and internal meetings as needed
