Job Description:

Project Manager

Location: Birmingham, Alabama (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives within a growing Data and Analytics organization. This role is responsible for driving projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining clear communication and accountability. Industry-specific experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across data, analytics, and technology initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Track performance against scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance, reporting, and change management processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact across cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, and status reviews.
  • Deliver regular project updates and executive-level reporting.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and partners.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.
  • Promote project management best practices and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: 5+ years of project management experience leading technology, analytics, software, or business transformation initiatives. Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders is necessary.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience supporting data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or data platform initiatives.
  • Experience managing external vendors and consulting partners.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
