Location: Downtown Houston (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a portfolio of strategic business and technology initiatives for a large, enterprise-scale organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on project leader who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams while driving projects from discovery through implementation.
Unlike traditional PM roles focused solely on schedules and status reporting, this position requires someone who can actively engage in business process analysis, stakeholder facilitation, requirements gathering, and organizational change efforts.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead cross-functional projects involving business process improvement, technology implementations, and organizational initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, vendors, and technical teams to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions to understand current-state processes and future business needs.
• Develop project plans, manage timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and executive communications.
• Document business processes, workflows, requirements, and recommendations.
• Drive alignment across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
• Support vendor evaluations, solution selection activities, and implementation efforts.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, project updates, and business recommendations.
• Ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and organizational changes.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise-scale initiatives.
• Strong experience working directly with business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical teams.
• Demonstrated success leading projects involving business process improvement, operational transformation, or technology implementations.
• Experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
• Strong vendor management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, or other complex industrial environments.
• Business Analysis experience, including process mapping, current-state/future-state assessments, and requirements documentation.
• PMP, CBAP, PMI-PBA, Prosci, or related certifications.
• Experience supporting software implementations, business transformation initiatives, or enterprise application projects.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is more than a project coordinator or schedule manager. We are seeking someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, working directly with stakeholders, understanding business operations, facilitating discussions, and helping drive solutions from concept through execution.
If you thrive in complex environments, can communicate effectively with both executives and technical teams, and enjoy solving business challenges, we'd like to hear from you.
