SALARY RANGE: $101k - $195k (based on geographic location, experience, and other factors) 

 

 

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager located in/near one of the above locations. The Project Manager II will oversee UAS operations on-site (CONUS or OCONUS), ensuring mission readiness and compliance with PMA-263 requirements. This position involves direct supervision of UAS operations, coordination with stakeholders, and maintaining qualifications and certifications.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Minimum five (5) years as a UAS operator
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or an additional six (6) years of job-related experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Current FAA Flight Physical (Class II)
  • BUQ-1 and BUQ-2 qualified

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Previous experience as a TALSA supervisor
  • Prior leadership experience in a UAS operations environment
  • Knowledge of UAS safety and training standards

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day UAS operations and mission planning
  • Supervise UAS operator teams and ensure qualification compliance
  • Maintain operational readiness and adherence to safety standards
  • Coordinate with Government and OEM representatives on operational requirements
  • Provide reporting and feedback to program leadership
