Project Manager - CDBG-DR Compliance & Quality Project Location: Maui, HawaiiTravel: Typically approximately one week per month in Maui, with the schedule subject to change based on project needs.Position SummaryTimberline Construction Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a CDBG-DR single-family housing reconstruction program in Maui.This is not a traditional Superintendent role. The position requires strong residential construction knowledge with a primary focus on compliance, QA/QC, documentation, inspections, reporting, Section 3 and project tracking.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate compliance and QA/QC activities with project teams and contractorsReview and consolidate construction reports for Canopy reportingTrack schedules, inspections, billing milestones, change orders and closeout documentationReview certified payroll documentation and coordinate apparent deficienciesManage Section 3 documentation, certification, labor-hour tracking and reportingPerform periodic site inspections and document construction progress and deficienciesTrack punch-list and corrective-action items through completionMaintain accurate records, photographs, inspection documentation and compliance filesTrain project personnel on documentation, Section 3, milestone tracking and reporting requirementsFollow up on missing or incomplete information until resolvedQualifications5+ years of experience in construction project management, compliance, quality control, disaster recovery, affordable housing or similar workStrong knowledge of residential construction, inspections, schedules, change orders and field conditionsExperience with CDBG-DR, HUD, FEMA or federally funded construction programs strongly preferredExperience with Davis-Bacon, certified payroll and Section 3 strongly preferredStrong organizational, documentation and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple homes at different stages of constructionExperience with Canopy and/or Smartsheet preferred but not requiredAbility to travel to Maui approximately one week per month, with flexibility as project needs changeIdeal CandidateThe strongest candidate will combine residential construction knowledge, federal compliance experience and strong documentation skills.Experience as a CDBG-DR/HUD Construction Manager, Disaster Recovery Compliance Manager, Residential QC Manager, Owner's Representative or Program Construction Manager is highly desirable.Employment with Timberline Construction Group is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and a background check, which may include criminal history and employment verification.By submitting your application, you consent to agreeing to partake in a pre-employment drug test and a background check.
