Project Manager

Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $115,000.00 USD Annually - $125,000.00 USD Annually
Description:

The Judge Group is seeking a Project Manager with 5+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.  This is a Hybrid position with 2-3 days to a train accessible office in Chicago.

 

COMPENSATION: 125k

LOCATION: Hybrid (Train accessible downtown Chicago location 2-3 days a week)

 

MUST HAVE:

• 5+ years of hands-on project management experience delivering complex initiatives end-to-end
• 2+ years of Project management experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industries
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, or related field
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification
• Experience working with Microsoft Project, Monday.com or a similar project management platform

·         Exposure to formal change management frameworks, for example PROSCI/ADKAR, Kotter, Lean Change Management, or equivalent

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Own project execution from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

·         Establish project parameters including scope, schedules, key deliverables, and success criteria

·         Create and oversee financial plans, including budgets, forecasts, and ongoing cost controls

·         Align workstreams across multiple teams to maintain proper sequencing and delivery cadence

·         Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of objectives and expectations

·         Break down complex concepts into concise, practical updates for both stakeholders and leadership

·         Drive progress and accountability while promoting a cooperative, problem‑solving culture

·         Monitor progress and actively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies

·         Produce regular project communications such as status reports, plans, and decision logs

·         Equip leadership with clear insights and recommendations to support timely decisions

·         Track intended outcomes and support measurement of realized business value

·         Manage scope, schedule, and budget changes through defined governance processes

·         Anticipate challenges and resource constraints, addressing them before they impact delivery

·         Surface escalations with clear analysis, options, and recommended paths forward

·         Facilitate post‑delivery reviews and incorporate lessons learned into future initiatives

·         Ensure consistent use of project delivery standards, tools, and governance practices

·         Identify and implement improvements to workflows, tooling, and delivery approaches

·         Adapt delivery methods based on project complexity, scale, and business needs
